The medium becomes subject and the subject becomes medium. All climate presupposes this constant topological inversion, this oscillation that undoes the border between subject and environment, a role-reversing oscillation. In my paintings, these elements of the thoughts and bodies, ideas and matter, oblivion and phenomena, blind spots and visual perception, and pages and space are not in a relationship of contiguity but in a mutual compenetration. Like the atmosphere (=fluid) that surrounds plants, the whole environment in which the painting is placed can merge with the painting itself, and the painting creates the space (=fluid).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
